MARTIAL ARTS IN POP CULTURE

Martial arts have long been the subject and public fantasy due to its mystical nature as way of life. With the help of modern mass media, which depicted martial arts as a ancient and enigmatical subject, It made its way to peoples' imagination. It became part of the present popular culture (pop culture) and introducing the art to wide avariety of audience.

Pop culture on the other hand could be simply defined the prevailing culture of a society possess that utilizes mass media, and their vernacular language. This type of culture is born out of the interaction, the ideas, and the desires of a group of people that belongs to the common class or the mainstream. It is usually seen in fashion, television, newspapers, radio and everything that is used as a meduim of interaction between persons.

Dynasty Warriors 5 boasts with the largest cast of characters ever assembled, the biggest battlefields to conquer, an incredible array of new attacks, powerful weapons, smarter soldiers and tougher challenges. The setting is again ancient China and this time there are 48 different characters to choose from in Musou mode. Majority of the 48 characters have to be unlocked and only 6 new characters have been added to the series. Each character has has/her own storyline and there are more guys to square up against on screen then any previous game in the series. The game uses the same graphics engine as the previous game. Changed for this edition, is the bodyguards, they now do a better job of protecting you against the many enemies you encounter. The stronghold system from Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires has been carried over, this is the ability to taking over an enemies base by killing the leader of the particular base.
